Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good bit of kit Customer had a really slow flushing toilet as it had been installed badly and had no airflow. Popped one of these little fellas onto a new 90 degree pan connector and hey presto! Job done

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I've had a problem for years due to the sink being 'T' into the bath waste run. Thus on draining the sink the water would be drawn from the bath trap. So with time on my hands I just removed the sink 90 degree on the outside wall, replaced with a T and popped this on. I didn't even need to glue as its a tight fit. Problem sorted. Only thing is its looks awful on the wall but better than ripping out the old pipework and fitting a separate run into the soil stack. 10 mins done.

Does the valve need to be accessible for maintenance etc?

I am wanting to position the AAV in the void behind the corner cabinet of my new kitchen (unit next to the sink). There will be ventilation (via the void under the cabinets etc), but won't be accessible easily after install. Is this location suitable?

Our washbasin and bath waste have been connected together and recently started to gurgle recently quite loud both bath and basin drain ok when emptied will this product solve the gurgle issue many thanks.

Asked by: Stoupa
Yes, this will fix it by allowing air to be admitted after the water flows, this breaking the vacuum. These can be fitted below the flood line (which means you can fit it under the basin if you need to) I’ve fitted many of these. They are easy to use and “just work”! Good luck (or if you’ve already solved this since you posted the question, I hope whatever you did for worked)

Can this stop rainwater backflow in a boiler condensing pipe?

I have a problem with rainwater (when heavy rainfall) back flowing up a condensing pipe into the boiler. The condensing pipe is connected to an external gutter down pipe. Will this AAV eliminate the problem?
Asked by: Mishena
No this allows air into the pipe, all you need is an open pipe end below the boile level, if rain water backs up in the pipe it will just overflow before it gets to the boiler.

Saniflow and sink siphon issues

I have a saniflow subcompact back to wall toilet with a sink fitted to the other inlet. When it flushes it seems to be sucking air through the U bend syphon. Will an air admittance.valve prevent this? Kindest Dano
Asked by: Nonickname77777
An air admittance valve may help with this situation however, you must not use a FloPlast air admittance valve as the saniflo system requires one that can withstand up to 10 psi and FloPlast do not produce any air admittance valves that will withstand this pressure.
