Rated 3 out of 5 by from Check it's the right size! disappointing to get the product home, strip out the old flush and discover that this is a 2" fitting - not what I wanted. I suppose I ought to have checked the previous NEGATIVE reviews before buying. I only read a handful of recent reviews - only afterwards did I check to see if I'd missed anything on the spec on the advert. Waste of money - more importantly. a waste of time. It doesn't take much to include the fitting size on the advert and spec, does it? I did fit the inlet valve and it works ok - bit it's so tight to the inside edge of the cistern, that adjusting it for water level is difficult if not impossible. Probably a good buy if you're after a 2" fitting - not for me! NB - review stars / scores are based on how I think it would work!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I am no plumber although I do all my own DIY, so thought I'd have a crack at replacing the cistern parts in a downstairs loo after reading up about this Flomasta Flush Valve. Whilst initially a bit daunting I started dismantling and couldn't believe how straightforward it was. All put back together in no time at all and working perfectly. Great purchase

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Check your cistern hole size! I have no doubt this is an excellent product but lacks description. You need to know the diameter of the hole in your cistern or take the risk of returning to Screwfix to get a universal fit. This particular unit only fits the 50dia cistern where as others have adaptors to fit both sizes. Very annoying when you have the toilet dismantled and Screwfix is shut!! Don’t assume, like I did because its an old cistern it will have the large hole. Should have known better☹

I have a toilet to go (about 5 years old) with a cable to the flush button. Will this kit fit?

Inlet valve noisy?

Does anyone else have a noise coming from the inlet valve almost constantly? It seems to fill on flush go quiet for a few seconds and then continuously “hiss” it’s not adding water anywhere not leaking.
Asked by: AndyIT
Hello AndyIT, The only noise an inlet valve is going to make is when it is open and water is rushing through it. If it is open almost constantly, this would point to either: 1. The inlet valve being stuck open. The water level will rise until it flows down the overflow pipe into the toilet bowl. 2. The flush valve is stuck open. This will also lead to water continually flushing into the bowl, though the inlet valve will be operating normally and simply compensating for the dropping water level. In this circumstance, the water level will not be as high as the overflow pipe. In both circumstances, the water flowing into the bowl could well only be a trickle that is not obvious at first glance. Hope this helps. Thank you for using Q&A AS
