Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tool - let down by case Purchased for DIY type use to replace an old router. The router itself seems fine, flexible and powefull, it works very well and is good value compared with others at twice the price. What i felt let it down was the plastic case. The colletts and some other components came in small unsecured plastic bags and the parralel guide cant be accessed without moving other components. No big deal but a bit of extra thought was all that was needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great router Good quality at an excellent price. Had a bad experience as the first router had a guide rail that didn’t fit - factory error. I explained this to the staff member who then returned the faulty router to stock for some other poor punter to find out the hard way. I’m used to dealing with staff from the trade side who are spot on but in this occasion I was at the public counter. The box was unsealed on the first router so I reckon someone had returned it before me for the same reasons - still have given them a high score because everyone has an off day and the router is very good quality and works well. Would highly recommend

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The worst Used to mill the underside of a river table flat, no matter how hard I tried to tighten it the milling bit moved vertically within the collet creating some huge gouges in a project that has taken over a month and has cost a fortune. I’m very unhappy and this junk will be going back to screw fix in the morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from D I y Easily to set up, comes with 1/4,3/8 and 1/2 collet, well built and also comes with a small mat to hold your wood so you don't need to clamp it which would be in the way, great value

Are replacement motor brushes available?

Sparks inside the motor housing as the router starts along with a lot of electrical noise. Once running it seems fine but I suspect the brushes are worn. The tool is only about 14 months old.
Asked by: para1559gmail
Hello para1559gmail, We do not currently stock Carbon Brushes for the ER2100 router. Thank you for using Q&A

What is the router bit with a collar and an allen head screw in the end? And how should it be used? It prevents the bit cutting, with the screw in or out, as when it's removed there's a sort of stubby bit still there.

Asked by: Anynamesnotusedyet
Hello Anynamesnotusedyet, This is a core box bit. It is used for cutting a semi circular groove into the surface. The screw does not need to be removed when using the bit. Thank you for using Q&A

Fine depth adjustment keeps moving whilst using router

I've been using this router for a couple if months and the fine depth adjustment has started moving whilst I'm making a cut. This is causing steps between passes. I cant see a way of locking it. Is it a fault.

Would this Router be capable of cutting kitchen worktops and will the guides supplied fit the worktop jig ?

Hello Jas2104, Yes, this can be used for cutting worktops. It would depend on the jig you are using as to whether either of the guide bushes would fit. Thank you for using Q&A
