Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the job Got the drill bit to get through porcelain tiles and install a shower. Done the job very well. Cant comment on how long it will last but although they seems very expensive it was worth it to do a stress free job

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Drill Bit Bought this drill bit more in desperation than hope. I’ve been trying to drill holes in 19mm sandstone slab which is supposedly a “soft” stone. Having ruined 3 masonry drill bits and getting nowhere I tried this. Went through the stone like a hot knife through butter. Tried it wet and dry and dry actually works best. Had to drill 12 holes and the diamond tip is still good as new at the end. It’s an expensive drill bit but worth every penny. Can’t rate it highly enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Erbauer 8mm drill bit Brought this on reviews to drill 10mm thick porcelain tiles , used th3 erbauer tile guide with it , drilled the holes brilliant with not much effort , the drill bit however after drilling 4 holes , wax came out from the top , took it back to Screwfix and replaced straight away so full stars as the product itself worked great . Slightly on the expensive side compared to other bits but does the job with ease .

How do you extract the core out of bit after drilling hole?

Asked by: Gasman82
Hello, There isnt a specific tool or method for this. Depending how compact or hard the material inside the core bit is you can usually remove the sediment by washing or scraping out the centre with a suitably sizes implement. Sometime you can gently tap it out as well. Thanks for using Q&A

Porcelain Slabs

Will this be suitable for porcelain garden slabs, 22mm thick? How many holes will they cut before failing approximately?
Asked by: Bails1310
Hello Bails1310, Yes, this should be suitable for a garden slab. There is not an exact number on how many holes this item will be able to cut due to this item being used on a variety of different materials and thicknesses. Thank you for using Q&A TC

Is this drill bit suitable for granite?

Asked by: aseth
Hi aseth, I am advised that it should be possible to drill granite with this product, although the lifespan is unknown and there are specialist bits for granite on the market. Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A. JT
