How does this work?
I thought that this was a way of extending a drill bit so that one end goes into the drill, and the drill bit goes into the extender so that a drill bit that is,say, 10cm long is “projected”,say, 20cm in front of the drill. Have I got this wrong?

Hello AmateurDIYer2,
This is a core drill set i.e. it is designed for attaching a diamond core (like a holesaw, but for bricks/masonry) to your drill with an arbor, as well as a pilot drill bit in order to keep it straight as you drill. If the bits you are trying to extend have a hex shank, perhaps look at item 4402V. If they are a standard cylinder-shaped shaft, there is no way to practically do this as they require gripping tightly in a chuck.
