I think if used in a garage or something in the middle of winter, would struggle, but new build house highly insulated and warms up in no time. I can’t comment on reliability hence only average stars on that.

Can this be mounted upside down ?

Can this be mounted, perhaps on a wall, using the stand as a hanging bracket ?

Hello Thank you for your question. I have one in my workshop mounted upside down, just remember to take down and clean regular to stop it from becoming clogged and a fire hazard. Even if you don't mount upside-down always keep it clean. Thank you for using the Screwfix Q&A service

When the thermostat reaches set temperature, does it switch the fan off as well as the heating element?
