Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a drill for a price... This is a brilliant small bench drill who does the work properly, fits perfect in my garage and easy to set up. Amazing price for what you get, great quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant value You get what you pay for. True, I wouldn’t recommend this to a professional or even a serious diyer, but for those of us that need to drill the occasional straight hole this is perfect. The first one I bought had to be returned as there was no power, but the second works great. I don’t find it noisy like some other reviewers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does a great job Although this is a cheap drill it works very well for DIY use. If I needed to use it a lot then I would order a better quality one. But for its price it's a great addition to the DIY workshop

Will I be able to drill through slate? Do I need to buy specialised drill bits for this purpose?

Asked by: Weller
Hello Weller, This can be used to drill slate and would need a masonry bit for the best results. Thank you for using Q&A

Hi just wondering what moors taper does it have it says b16 but what MT. Many thanks.

Asked by: Anonymous
I am just about to buy one of these. I am not expecting it to have a morse taper (MT) fitting. I assume that the drive spindle has the DIN M16 chuck mounting taper machined onto it. Larger, more expensive pillar drills often have a morse taper into which fits a separate chuck arbor with perhaps a MT2 morse taper on one end and the chuck mount Jacobs or DIN taper on the other (in this case that would be M16). In other words this machine is ONLY a chuck based machine and will not take MT drill bits. Hope that helps.
