I am just about to buy one of these. I am not expecting it to have a morse taper (MT) fitting. I assume that the drive spindle has the DIN M16 chuck mounting taper machined onto it. Larger, more expensive pillar drills often have a morse taper into which fits a separate chuck arbor with perhaps a MT2 morse taper on one end and the chuck mount Jacobs or DIN taper on the other (in this case that would be M16). In other words this machine is ONLY a chuck based machine and will not take MT drill bits. Hope that helps.
