Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drywall screws Good drywall screws. They don't leave metal shards in your fingers and fix well. Time will tell on reliabilty but I'm not expecting any problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for purpouse Only slight niggle is that the heads are H2 or P2 which means they don't take the standard PZ2 drivers. I find the other heads are little flimsy and have ripped several to pieces driving these screws into slightly harder surfaces like old timbers. The screws seem to hold up but the drivers disintegrate because the metal is thinner in order to fit the screw heads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Screws I know they are drywall screws. but they did the job for me when I was boarding out my loft. Absolutely spot on.

Would these be OK for fixing 12mm ply to over board a 24mm tongue & groove floor?

These are a lot cheaper than the usual 4x 35mm screws I'd usually look at so wondering if there are any issues with strength etc? Obviously I'd still use a longer screws where I can hit the joists.
Asked by: glock339
Hello, I would not recommend using these screws for your purposes. I do not believe these screws would be flexible enough to be able to use on a flooring surface. (i.e. the movement to the boards etc caused by walking may snap the screw). Additionally, the manufacturer states only using these for attaching drywall to wooden partitions If they are used otherwise in accordance the the manufacturers recommendations we would be unable to guarantee their performance and if they where to fail you would not be covered by the warranty on the screws. Thanks for using Q&A. [DG]

these screws say for internal and external use. can they be used for fencing?

Asked by: Ross1973
Hello Ross1973. These screws are designed for fitting Plasterboard to timber and so we could not recommend them for use with fencing. You would be better served by a exterior wood screw. Thank you for using Q&A (CW)

Is it ok to plaster or fill directly over these screws?

Probably a stupid question, but i just want to be sure that it is ok to plaster or use filler directly onto these screws. PS: the obligatory nickname is really annoying!
Asked by: MikeFromWandsworth
Hello MikeFromWandsworth, this should be ok however if you worried about rust you may wish to consider stainless steel screws i hope this is usefull thank you for using Q and A.JB
