Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great woodfloor underlay This underlay does exactly what it says. Provides a bit of a cushion, vapour layer when used with vapour tape and sound deadening. It's also improved the temperature in the rooms we've used it. We fit it ourselves and it was so easy to lay out and cut(although each roll is very heavy!) The company has changed names slightly and not fully rebranded yet so you might get another brand delivered but don't worry, it's the same stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Product Just used this underlay on laminate floor job in bedroom. Cuts and lays easily and excellent sound deadening. Only problem is the stuff smells awful when you open the plastic packaging. Kept windows open during laying and couple of days after and smell has dispersed. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality I have used this produce a number of times and never been disappointed. Not the cheapest but a good heavy weight underlay that reduced laminate noise and makes a great insulator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says " This underlay is nice and heavy which helps it stay flat as soon as it is placed on the floor, easily lines up together and very easy to trim when required. "

Which way up?

If fitting on top of underfloor heating, do you install foil side up or down?
Asked by: Danjob
Our Fitting instructions state that the underlay should be laid foil side down ( essential to ensure maximum resistance to moisture from the sub floor ) We would also suggest that you check what recommendations the manufacturer of the Underfloor heating system makes with regards to what type of underlay to use

I have read some questions on this product in ref to laying on a concrete floor. I was planning to lay this directly onto the newly screeded floor. The product description clearly states built in damp proof membrane. Is this ok?

Asked by: DaveMR
This product does have a built-in Vapourstop barrier that helps protect against moisture and you may also wish to use a damp proof membrane as well. NB - also ensure that the new screed is fully dry prior to installation of any underlay / flooring

can you use two layers so has to bring floor level with each other

Asked by: Johnny1944
You should not use 2 x layers of this Underlay. If the floor is very uneven screed it first and then use one layer of the Duralay Wood & Laminate Underlay.
