Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dimplex tubular heater A good low wattage heater, ideal for my detached garage that gets a little damp in the mid winter. I first saw one in someone's garage that housed a gas boiler, preventing frozen pipes in a cold winter. It prevents mildew and rusting tools at the cost of a 80w light bulb. Comes with thermostat, 3 pin plug and wall brackets. Easy to install.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too much guess work Heater purchased to take chill off of greenhouse during cold weather and frosts but the serious omission of any calibration markings on the heat selector dial is a real problem. It means you cannot accurately gauge settings to a previously used position or have any idea of the percentage of maximum you are setting it to. The instructions mention a click should be heard at the point the thermostat turns on when turning the dial but with my less than perfect hearing I cannot hear this or even feel it. Finally a lack of any indication lights showing that power is on and or the thermostat is active and outputting heat is also an omission to my mind. I would look elsewhere and maybe spend a little more in retrospect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't cut off Bought this specifically for frost protection. Didn't cut off. Stayed on all the time. Clearly a faulty thermostat. This shouldn't happen. Where's the quality control????
