Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast screws Bought these to attach the Rothleys furniture legs(also screwfix)to my gym wall to use as weight plate storage, they are brilliant, using a 5.5mm erbauer masonry bit(screwfix) they are reassuringly hard to drive in, they do not come with the bit to drive them in but are still fantastic

I've only discovered they exist the last couple of months but they've saved me so much time that I wouldn't be without a box of them in the kit list now, and they're such a good price from Screwfix compared to the other very well known brand available elsewhere. No hesitation in recommending.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome First time i have used concrete bolts and i was pleased i went for these Dewalt bolts for fixing a heavy gate to a brick pillar. Used the Dewalt 8mm masonry bit and bolts tightened up very tight indeed! Will defiantly be uses these over plugs or raw bolts from now on.

Specific diameters of shaft/shank Vs thread?

Does the size listed refer to the overall outside diameter of the thread or just the diameter of the shank/shaft? I have an 8mm hole in a thick metal plate so do I buy the 8mm or the 6mm screwbolt? Thanks in advance.

How much load will these take?

I have a pull up bar and want to fit into breeze block in the garage, and have been recommended this product. I weigh around 85kg Are these suitable?

For accurate loading values for DeWALT Blue Tip Concrete Screws see www.dewalt.co.uk/products/Anchors-and-Fastening-Systems , Loading will depend on density of the block. Screwfix offer M8 & M10 DeWALT Concrete screws with higher load values than the M6 version.
