Can this unit be fitted into a dry lined wall?
I have a dry lined cavity wall so can’t recess the box into the wall, how can I create the 55mm depth back box this unit needs. Is it possible to adjust a 47mm box to fit? An electrician is doing the installation for me.

Hello. The extra required depth is achieved when the unit is being installed behind a finished wall i.e. the overall depth of the wall cavity and the extra space given after the surfaced is tiled. This is more difficult to establish a fitting explanation because our own recommended box accessories do not reach the required installation depth on their own (they too are 47mm). As we don’t manufacture a dry lining box that is 55mm deep the only way to achieve this depth is above. The only other alternative is if a metal 47mm is able to be fitted and recessed into the wall (Dry liners can’t be recessed). Thank you for your interest in our Crabtree brand.
