what is 12mm refering to?

I understood that 15mm is for the compression fitting and also for the tap connector section. But 12mm is for what? Thank you

Hello DRCar, The 15mm end contains the compressions fitting and the 1/2'' end is threaded. I have emailed off to have the description amended as this product is actually 15mm x 1/2''. Thank you for using Q&A.
