Rated 5 out of 5 by from pukka Not a lot to wrong with this. Fitted and working. Threads have no issues, all in all does the job it was designed for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Not much to go wrong or so I thought but the casing has sprung two leaks along the weld. Very disappointing. Shame I can't post a photo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Body split at the seam Absolutely do not buy this wall plate elbow. As per loads of other bad reviews, the body splits at the seam and not even under much force. Wound 5 turns of PTFE tape around the thread, tightened it up firm only by hand and the morning after it had split at the seam and was spraying out everywhere. Simply not fit for purpose. Replaced it with the ancient one temporarily which it replaced that was on the house before we even moved in (15+ years) Returned for a replacement of a different wall plate elbow (chrome one, different manufacturer). See if this one is any better

Shower mixer bar

Can these be used for connecting Mira shower bars to? If not could you advise which one would be the best option.? Thanks.
Asked by: Scott0113
Hello Scott0113, These are intended for use with outside taps and we have not tested them for any other purpose. I would recommend speaking to a qualified tradesperson for advice on what fittings would be recommended. Thank you for using Q&A SW

upside down tap

water feed comes from beneath and tap will only start to screw on at one point of the thread - therefore always ends up pointing to the sky - Anyone solved this issue yet?
Asked by: Phil147
Easy fix.... use a fibre washer between the wall plate elbow (or whatever you are screwing it into) and the tap. Or... wrap more ptfe tape around the threads of the tap. In both cases the thread tightens up before the male thread reaches the back of the female part and you should get a water tight fit with the tap facing the way you want it... hope it works for you.
