Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value and product Hardwearing, easy to cut and fit and extremely visible from long distance. Used to cap a broken tile edged step in and out of a busy office block, closing off a long standing ''Near Miss'' issue. Down in minutes and will last a long, long time. Health and safety manager very impressed. 3 problems solved with one product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't run your hand along them Very good, strong product and at a good price. Because of the nature of the product they are very course and you can easily cut yourself on them. Maybe some thought may be needed if these will suit your particular needs. I used them on outside steps for grip and to define the step edge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hard Wearing Bought these for use indoors in a dimly lit environment to highlight stair edges. Grips on them are very rough and probably more suited to outdoor use, but a very sturdy bit of kit.

what screws do you recommend for use on decking steps

Asked by: Kalabash
If you are putting these onto wooden steps you will need a stainless steel 40mm flange head screw. If you are putting these onto steel steps you will need a flange head screw self tapper. The size will depend on the thickness of the steel.

Fixings

How would you fix this to a plywood step. Thank you.
Asked by: CaptainRick
This can be fixed to a plywood step using a polyurethane sealant/adhesive with high modules of elasticity.

can these be installed on a carpeted surface?

I have been asked to install these on carpeted stairs in a public building. Is it possible to drill countersink holes so I can screw these through the existing carpet into the wooden stairs, or do you suggest another method of permanent fixing? thank you.
Asked by: codge55
We would recommend screwing the stair nosing to the floor to make this more secure

Can this item be fixed to a concrete staircase covered by linoleum? What is the most appropriate method of fixing the tread with?

Asked by: Johno23
Hi John you'd need a polyurethane mastic to fix the GRP to the application you've mentioned. Kind regards Fiona
