More than 5kg load?

Max load is shown as 5kg If I need to carry more than 5kg, can I use 2 or even 3 vertical strips at each end of a shelf to support 10kg (2 strips) or 15kg (3 strips)?

How deep are these? I.e. how far do the stick out from the surface they are screwed to?
