Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product. Strong and sturdy with a great finish to the product. Holds our 55inch luxor tv perfectly. Very easy to adjust the tilt and swivel. Comes with a variety of different size bolts and washers to hang the tv up which makes it ideal for different makes and models of tv's. The channel at the back is great to hide all those horrible looking power cables and hdmi's. We have the tv power cable and 2 HDMI cables running though the stand and it still has plenty of room for more. Solid tempered safety glass base. The only negatives I would say are the fact it does not come with any manuals, you have to go online or download them which was a little frustrating. Some of the step by steps needed to be clearer. Also a little tricky to assemble (if you are on your own) when it comes to putting the 2 long metal screws though the base to line them up with the nuts

Where do I stand if this unit fails and my TV ends up broken?

I've seen reviews on other websites where similar designs have failed at the glass base and the TV has ended up smashed. Who would be liable in this scenario?
Asked by: Deanings
Our Senior Engineer/Quality Manager has stated to me the following: "In this scenario, if the consumer / installer had kept within the specification provided with the product, ie TV size, TV weight etc, the instructions had been followed correctly and there was no evidence of misuse then I would say that the liability would lie with the provider of the similar design. I should point out that AVF products have been loaded to 3 times the maximum weight stipulated with the product and to date I am not aware of one of these products failing in service. As a foot-note - Glass base failure could occur if the product had received an impact at some time during its life that may not necessary fail immediately but could in a period of time. An example of this could be during manufacture, delivery, or even the consumer dropping an item onto the base such as a hairbrush (A little like ice cracking but not breaking when you walk on it, the crack can travel over time until the base fails). Liability is difficult and as provider we pride ourselves on our customer service, but hopefully we could rely on customers honesty if this scenario were ever to occur." Kind Regards, Mitchell @ AVF.

What is the minimum and maximum height of the bottom of the TV above the floor and can a soundbar be attached below the tv using the TV brackets? Thanks

Asked by: AdamCB
It's not the same every time as it depends on the TV's VESA and how far the bottom holes are located from the very bottom of the TV. The way we work it out though for this Product is as follows: Assuming you were forced into using the very bottom slot on the brackets (because you had a VESA of 600x400 or 400x400), you would measure the distance between the bottom of the TV and 1 of the bottom 2 of the 4 mounting holes on the TV in millimetres, you'd then deduct this figure from 305mm to give you the minimum clearance between the bottom of the TV and the Glass Base of this product. Should you have a VESA where the 'y' measurement is less than 400mm you will have a bit more clearance than this as you won't be forced into using the very bottom slot on the mounts. If in doubt, call us at AVF (0333 320 0463 - option 1 - 9-5 Mon - Thurs / 9-4 Friday - excluding Bank Holidays). Kind Regards, Mitchell @ AVF.
