Rated 4 out of 5 by from use the right size this size is ok for 15mm pipework but the larger size is needed for 22mm

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says... Good product, works a treat. Have extra cable ties on hand though - broke a couple getting them extra tight. Don’t use near soldered joins that you are keeping as the expanded ice can bulge the pipe, of course. Would be good to see the product a bit cheaper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good... Read all reviews & tips, followed supplied instructions exactly. kitchen timer for 5 mins on cleaned 15mm pipe, outer insulation jacket covered in ice - so good to go? No. A lot of money to get sprayed with treated c/h water. Luckily I had everything laid out in order very close to hand (as suggested in another review), plus a huge 70L trug under the pipe JIC - & it was a solid floor with no carpet. Phew. Only -ve review I've ever written for Screwfix. Oh well. Lesson learnt.

Instruction manual?

Do you have a copy of the instruction manual? The link on the webpage opens another copy of the safety document rather than the manual
Asked by: Nijoire

How long is the jacket?

How long is the jacket please? I need to know whether it will fit on a short run of pipe in a difficult to access location. Also, the downloadable 'Instructions' seem to be a safety data sheet rather than guidance on how to use the product
Asked by: ChrisW2811

How far beyond the jacket can it freeze?

I have 15mm central heating pipes in the floor that I cannot access. The T is under a wood block floor, buried in concrete, so at least 35mm from the jacket would be necessary.
Asked by: Dadneo
From experience it will only freeze the area around the middle of the jacket and will not freeze outside the ends of the jacket.

Re Pipe Freezing kit (433FJ) can you please confirm if one can is required for 1 no. 15mm pipe or is 1 can sufficient for 8(?) no. 15mm pipes.(?)

Asked by: Ash43
One can per 15mm pipe.

Enough for 2 x 15mm pipes?

Is a 200ml can enough to freeze 2 x 15mm pipes or will I need a can for each pipe? Thanks
Asked by: WickC
Unlikely this 150mm can would unless the pipes were touching each other. You would be better off with the 300ml can (plus the jacket).
