What is the loss through this splitter.
Is it a resistive splitter or more complex transmission splitter?

Breaking in to main aerial cable
I have located the cable that goes from my aerial to the tv downstairs but wondered if I could 'T' into the cable with this splitter to feed the additional points. I am worried if I break into it, I'll loose signal to the TVs downstairs.

It is potentially possible but the signal received would be dependant on overall signal levels present.

Earthing
I just bought one of these and noticed what looks like 2 earth terminals on the outside by the fixing holes. Should this product be earthed as there are no instructions?

Earthing would only normally be required on larger more complex installs.

Can 2 of these be used together?
Aerial cable comes into my living room.
So aerial input into one splitter, 1 output to my tv, the 2nd will be the input to a 2nd splitter in the loft. This splitter will then distribute freeview to the upstairs tv’s.
Thanks

Splitting the signal in this way will most likely introduce a fair amount of signal loss, it would be better to split the signal at the point the Aerial enters the lost so that maximum signal is available.
