(6 products)Steel pipe cutters work by using a sharp cutting wheel to slowly penetrate through the metal to sever it. As the pipe cutter is rotated around the pipe, the wheel cuts through the pipe. They can usually cut through several different types of metal and cutting through soft metals, like aluminium and copper, can take only a few rotations. Adjustable pipe cutters require the handle to be turned after every couple of rotations to keep the cutting wheel pressed onto the pipe.
