Ferrule crimpers resemble a traditional pair of pliers, with clamps with a ridge on one side and a notch on the other. A cable crimper is commonly used by electrical engineers to attach connectors to the end of electrical cables. Easily portable, they come in a range of sizes and styles including crimping pliers, modular crimpers and crimping tool sets. They usually have hardened or carbon steel jaws and some are also designed for bending, cutting and stripping cable.
