Electricians cable rods are flexibile, enabling cables to be pushed through or around objects. 4mm rods are very flexible, yet stiff enough to push cables into place. 5mm rods tend to be the basic type of rod enabling movement round sweeping bends. 6mm are much stronger, able to deal with insulation materials. They give better directional control and are better for longer distances.
