Pilot hole?
Hi, do these require a pilot hole as I am fixing two pieces of 50mm timber for a lean to roof.If so can you recommend a pilot drill.Thanks.

Hello Dauntingsphere5,
These screws do not normally require a pilot hole, but it may be a good idea if the timber is particularly hard, in which case a 3mm diameter drill would be best..

Hi, Suitability and corresponding drill size.
Hi, I am not good at DIY. Are these screws ok for making a base frame out of 4x2. Are they ok for making stud frame out of 2x2. What size pilot hole drill.

Hello Jerry960,
Yes, these could be used for creating a base frame. A drill bit smaller in diameter than the screw shank would be needed, a 4mm bit.

Raw plugs needed??
Can these be screwed directly into masonry?. Or are raw plugs needed?, thank you in advance

Hello Peppey,
If using this product in masonry I would recommend using a wall plug.
