Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably best plasterboard fix I was looking something other than gripits as I'd had several quality issues with them. I've used blade fixers, hollow wall studs (which to their credit are good too) and Geefix (super strong but horrendous to fit and can be lost in the cavity during installation). Mounted a 50" tv to the wall, using 2 screws sunk into the stud and 2 of these either side. They're the easiest plasterboard fixing to install with very little room for error. I have zero concerns regarding their strength and went onto mount several large bathroom cabinets purely into plasterboard with these. I would 100% recommend them to have at hand and are my preferred choice is a Fischer duo plug isn't suitable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Idea poor quality I lost 5 toggles down the back of my lath and plaster wall due to the plastic breaking. The plastic appears to be very weak and brittle. Maybe it was my poor DIY skills, but I'll be avoiding these in the future. The 3 I did manage to install held the brackets very well however.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No good This style of fixing is my preferred option for plasterboard. I usually use an American brand that can be tricky to get hold of. I bought a packet of these in a hurry and they are a massive let down. I fixed three in the wall, on two of them the plastic snapped only from the force of turning the bolt to tighten. The plastic appears to be too brittle for the job. Luckily I searched and found some of the ones I usually buy and I was able to push the remaining part of these Timcos into the wall and install a working fixing with no problems in the hole I had already made. A poor imitation of a good product.

Hollow space behind drywall is only 40mm. Will this fit.

I am mounting a bracket on an internal wall. The drywall is 10mm thick, and the gap to behind it is only 40mm. I like the concept and reviews on the this product, but can not tell if it will fit in the gap. If not, is there a product you would recommend.

In another question the Timco Technical Team said "Ensure that there is a minimum of a 50mm cavity to allow the toggle to pivot behind the plasterboard." So it seems 40mm is not enough - sorry

I do not have a 13mm bit and am drilling through ceramic tiles and plasterboard. Will a 12mm or 14mm bit do the job?
