Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stainless Decking Screws Just used 500 of these on new decking without piloting any holes and had only around 20 that the heads rounded. You do need to ensure that you have the correct drill bit, apply pressure and have the drill angled correctly. Otherwise you will round off a lot of these as they are relatively soft, though only bent one and had no breakages. Countersink nicely themselves. Tips; have your drill torque set low, if screw resists countersinking then unscrew half way and try again with more pressure. Don't just keeping screwing otherwise you will round off the heads. Very good value for money, just going back for more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Problem Screws I used over a 1,000 of these to replace standard carbon steel decking screws that had rusted over the years. There was no problem with any of the screws. Most were going into existing screw holes but those going into new positions went straight in without difficulty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor screws Wanted something that would not rust away last screws where green outside ones but most had rusted away.the stainless looked a good option but they are not very strong and can snap or the bit just rounds them.the only way I could get them to do the job was drill a hole in the decking first.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hands down the worst screws ev Terrible screws, thin, weak, they bend and twist when being driven in, heads can break off if you’re lucky to get it in far enough. Go for the carbon coated jobs. Avoid these like the plague!

Hello Coopermanbeith, These screws are designed specifically for use in timber, they would likely not be effective if used in plastic. Thank you for using Q&A. (LM).
