Acute tri-lock threadform and shank. Enhanced dual-start with opposing thread gives an easy straight drive. Stick-tite recess for maximum grip between bit and screw. Dowel ream reduces timber splitting. Zinc and yellow-passivated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The screw that does everything These are brilliant the serrated first few turns cut in nicely so you hardly need to do pilot holes and the combination of the cutters on the shaft and the under head cutters make countersinking easy. You just sometimes have to sand off a little burr the countersinking leaves around the screw head. These observations are from screwing into 18mm ply.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't drill pilot hole! Made classic amatuers' mistake of drilling pilot holes thinking they would make insertion easier. DON'T! These are much easier to insert into softwood batterns when they cut their own pathway. Other than that, excellent value and holding properties (used to screw trellis to uprights for garden screening)

Would these be good to secure floorboards and prevent squeaks?

Screw-Tite 2 would do the job but for total peace of mind and to eliminate squeaky floors completely you may want to use our Floor-Tite screws that are designed exactly for this purpose .

are these ok for osb board

are these ok to screw osb board in a shed , so will be inside. thanks paul

Thank you for your enquiry. These will perform well in OSB, depending on the thickness of the board, it may be worth drilling a pilot hole. These can be used internally on a shed but if there is any work externally, we would suggest something from our outdoor range such as Exterior-Tite® or Deck-TIte®.

Are these the best style of screw for 18mm OSB board that will be used for a loft flooring?
