Rated 1 out of 5 by from Utter Rubbish In essence these are a waste of time. They provide 0 protection and also don't clasp the plasterboard tight enough and simply fall over. Bought these instead of the more expensive plastic "hood" style ones. But will go and by the more expensive ones to finish off my install.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product, not recommended Bought to fit with spots to prevent loft insulation from overcovering. Terrible product. Almost impossible to fit into plasterboard such that they remain in situ. Spent a significant amount of time bending and fitting them to no avail. Recommend buying spots that have an integrated insulation guard instead.

downlighter draught protection

I have 7 small downlighters in this house in the lounge with draught from the attic coming from them. The loft has insulation around them so how can I stop the draughts safely?

Fit a product called the Thermahood which is designed to prevent draught and Acoustic noise, and allow insulation to cover the light fittings with the Thermahoods fitted
