Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money Absolute junk. First problem i didn't discover until the bath was installed and the first time I took a bath was that the plug didn't seal! The water gradually leaks past the plug. But by then, as I say the bath was installed, so very difficult to change it out. So i wrapped some PTFE tape round the plug to get it to seal. Not pretty but it worked and lived with it. Now 6 months later, the whole mechanism is sloppy and I don't think it will last much longer, so am forced to try and swap it out. Not a job i am looking forward to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solidly built. Good quality pop up waste- as others have said trimming down the overflow pipe looks like it will be easy but once cut it will not go back onto the body. I managed to shorten it by flipping the pipe around so the end that was at the overflow end is now at the plug end and then siliconed the connections. Works perfectly now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good waste/overflow upgrade Purchased to replace an overflow that had failed over time. Chose this based on reviews and design (to get rid of the plug chain). Comes without any instructions but really simple to fit with compression at both overflow and waste. Used the rubber gaskets provided, did not need any silicone. The handle is metal rather than chrome-effect plastic which looks and feels good. The waste itself sits 1-2mm proud of the bath which means not all of the water drains away. The overflow pipe was too long for my bath, so had to snake it to prevent waste water being trapped. Have scored 5 for reliability as it feels solid, but only fitted it 3 weeks ago.

cable clicks / slips on turning

Installed in Jan 2020; worked fine for 6 months but now "clicks" when turning the knob to raise plug / drain water - needs help with fingers (moves OK, no debris). Shaft turning - sounds like loose cable attachment in top section. Fixable?

Leaking plug

Hi, I’m having a issue with water constantly leaking thru the plug whilst the plug is down, it’s drains quite quickly with the plug down but I don’t know why.
Asked by: Whatters86
Hello Whatters86, It sounds like the plug isn't achieving a seal which might mean the rubber seal isn't positioned properly. Thank you for using Q&A (CW)

Is this suitable for a freestanding bath?

I am having a freestanding bath fitted although it will be against a wall. Is this pop up waste suitable? Also is there a low profile trap that can be recommended as I need something a little smaller so I don't have to go beneath the floor
Asked by: Tan20
Hello Tan20, This should be fine for your needs. Thank you for using Screwfix Q&A. A.K.C.

The pop up machanism is very stiff. Is there a way of loosening it?

Asked by: Michael69
Hello Michael69, There is not a way to loosen the mechanism, this should over time become easier to operate. Thank you for using Q&A SW
