Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor VFM, good performance Works well BUT wears very quickly so poor value for money. Really can't understand why the price is so high compared to say a flap wheel as surely the manufacturing costs must be roughly comparable. Is it perhaps that there is only a single manufacturer of this type of disc?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value for money Not the cheapest pad on the market but prob the best one. Very low wear rate of tool but still gives excellent cut. Not so expensive when compared to the cheaper ones that are gone in 5 minutes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from V Good but can be pricey I have used to remove paint on some timber doors and it was great and lasted quite a long time. But also used to clean some bricks and then I was using a disc for every 10 bricks or so. Also my angle grinder tool was a bit too short to tighten it so had to come up with an alternative means. But it does work very well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the job Good for removing surface rust and paint from metal.Did break up fairly quickly and deep dish shape makes it difficult to tighten onto angle grinder.

Can this be used to clean paint off lead flashing

Asked by: TotalBMS
Hi TotalBMS, These wheels are highly abrasive and it ls likely that lead flashing would be damaged if not used very delicately. Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A. JT

Would this clean off old paint and rust from cast iron without scratching it?

Asked by: unique
Hi Unique, As far as we are aware, these should be capable of cleaning rust and paint off cast iron. They can be aggressive so will need a light and gentle touch to achieve a satisfactory finish. Too much pressure may cause local scratching. Try a small inconspicuous area before tackling the whole item. Thank you for using Q&A. PB

Can I use this to clean my tiled floor

Asked by: Mickey19891989
Hello. One concern is that if your tiles are glazed then that would also be removed. We always recommend testing on an inconspicuous area first. Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A. MH

Can the disc be used on a wet stone polisher to reduce the airborne dust?

Even with wearing a correctly fitted P3 dust mask I'm coughing for a few days after using these discs. Is it possible to use the discs on a "wet stone polisher" to reduce the amount of airborne dust?
Asked by: BuilderBen82
Hello BuilderBen82, We have no information available to say if you can do this or not. Thank you for using Q&A, [BH].

my angle grinder spanner wont reach deep enough into the wheel to tighten properly (only one point makes contact), am i missing something, I have flipped the nut both ways

Asked by: alphabravo
Hi alphabravo, Our warehouse staff have advised that the internal depth of this wheel is approximately 18mm and so it is possible that it could be difficult to get the pins on the pin spanner in the holes on the disc fixing nut on some grinders although at the time of writing none of the product reviewers have mentioned this. Tilting the pin spanner should help. Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A. JT
