Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too dark Just given my decking two coats of this product , it’s not like oak I would say a dark dirty walnut colour very unhappy , test a small area if purchased to ensure your happy with the colour.I will need to buy something to strip this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oak decking oil. Really good product, goes on easily, very good coverage, dries quickly depending on weather. Nice colour... does exactly what it says on the tin.. at a good price. Only downside was the smell but ur outdoors so all good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great results Used the oak coloured oil on my decking after having first used the clear version, but deciding the original wood colour was a tad too bright. The results are excellent. It soaks into the wood really well, but a little goes a long way. The resulting finish makes the wood look like high quality oak. I’m not sure what the reliability will be just yet as it’s only early days, but even if it needs re-coating after a year, it’s still a third of the price of some other products.

Can this be used on old tanalised decking?

Asked by: Angie100
Hello Angie100, The effectiveness of the product will be subjective to the age of the treatment on the wood, the older the treatment the better the oil will be able to absorb into the decking, whereas if the treatment is newer (under a year) it is likely the oil won't absorb properly. Thank you for using Q&A

Is this oil safe to use on decking that pets will be using? If so, how long after applying the oil before they would be allowed on the decking?

Asked by: IJPG
Hello IJPG, Yes, once this has fully dried then it would be safe for pets to use. It should be left for at least 24 hours before allowing them near the area. Thank you for using Q&A
