Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sticks to tyres Major drawback for using it on a garage or workshop floor: it sticks to tyres! I sealed the floor before painting and left it to cure for the required seven days. But my mountain bike stuck to the paint overnight and when I backed the car out, four patches of paint ripped up. I had to repaint the damage then sealed it with Screwfix No Nonsense floor varnish. Two coats of that did the trick.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Followed the advised guide, 1coat then wait 24hrs for the 2nd and left just over a week. The finish looked really good but it peels away everytime i put my motorbike on it, so i left it for a 2nd week and im still having the same problem.Have read a review very similar. Cant fault screwfix they refunded me no problem so 5 stars to them

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not suitable for garage floors I have given this paint 1 star across the board as I recently painted my garage floor with this paint, and it is peeling off after 2 days. I followed the instructions as per the tin, vacuuming and scraping the floor to ensure it was dust free and my floor had no visible oil or other marks. I then decided to leave 48 hours between 1st and 2nd coats not the 24 hours as recommended. I then left the floor for 14 days to cure which again is double the recommended time of 7 days as I wanted to make sure it was dry before parking my car in the garage. The morning after parking my car in the garage for the first time I moved my car and the paint had lifted, I have also noticed it has lifted where I store my bike so even light items cause the paint to lift. This was really annoying as the prep and paint had taken nearly 3 weeks and hours of work. I contact the manfacturer and they blamed poor preparation and stated that I should try again and that the floor should be "thoroughly cleaned and degreased and gently abraded to help with a key" to ensure the paint sticks. Because of my experience I cannot recommend this floor paint for a garage floor unless you are able to complete the recommended floor prep as above across the entire garage. If I had known the preparation involved to ensure the paint will not peel or lift, I would not have bought the product and maybe this paint is for the trade and not for DIYer like me. Shame because it was easy to use and looks good but does not last.

Is this paint suitable for mezzanine floor?

There is a new mezzanine floor in our factory. Would this paint be suitable for heavy foot, tray trolley, and pallet traffic? The mezzanine is made of chipboard and has a plywood skin.
Asked by: Aditiv
Hello Aditiv The coating is deemed as a medium to heavy foot traffic coating. The application on to timber is fine, all we advise is the first coat is to be diluted 10% by using white spirit, then follow with two further undiluted coats. It can accept light foot traffic after 24 hours, and can be in full use after 7 days.

Is it okay to move everything to one end and do half a garage floor then move it back after a few days and do the remaining half garage floor?

Asked by: Talkingfrog
Hello Talkingfrog Ideally you would remove all objects and paint the whole surface, there is no other issue doing it in the manner you explain, other than the visual aesthetics. You will be able to see the join between the two applications. Thank you

Can this paint be used on a concrete floor in a greenhouse?

Hello Jacq2112 The coating needs to be applied on to a surface that has a functioning DPC - If the concrete slab does then you are fine. Thank you
