Rated 5 out of 5 by from Painting Tips Please Hello, this is superb paint but it's like painting with treacle, plus it dries VERY quickly so when painting a large item such as a door the paint brush joins smudge easily because the area you just painted has already started to dry. Does anyone have any tips for when painting with a brush?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all rounder For the modern Matt finish which is easy to touch up, easy to clean brushes and no smell it’s great. It’s not got much sheen In it but enough to make it not look like primer. I found best results following the instructions - 2 coats

Painting advice for Acrylic on wood

Hello! Love this Acrylic paint BUT it's like panting with thick treacle, I'm finding I have to water it down 25/75 to get any success when painting doors by hand. Can anyone offer any advice?
Asked by: RonUK
Hello RonUK Leyland Trade Acrylic Eggshell is actually a wall and ceiling coating, but can be applied to woodwork as a secondary application, this is why it is not as fluid as normal trim coatings. The general advice is yes you can dilute - but no more than 10% 100ml of water per litre of paint. The application process is apply it, lay it off and leave it. One of the most important tips is to not keep brushing over the applied paint - you just introduce brush marks. Thank you

Use for Kitchen & Bathroom ?

New plaster-Do I use Mist coat of emulsion or Leyland Acrylic Primer Undercoat-watered down50%, then a full coat applied on top- Acrylic Primer Undercoat, then top coat/s of Acrylic Eggshell or just Acrylic Eggshell on top of Mist coat?
Asked by: 1Novice007
Hello 1Novice007 The correct specification is either: 1. Dilute the Acrylic Eggshell by 10 -20% using clen cold water (100-200ml of water per litre of paint) once dry follow with a minimum of two further undiluted coat of the eggshell. 2. Apply Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat diluted by 10% (100ml water per litre of paint) once dry follow with two coats of Acrylic Eggshell. My preffered choice as a decorator is option 2, using the acrylic primer undercoat. I hope this helps.

Can this be used on new plaster

Asked by: Grenie
Hello Grenie It can, but it is often better to apply an acrylic primer undercoat first, to lessen the amount of potential top coats it may take. Than you
