Hi, We cannot give a definitive answer to this, we would say probably not. All non-contact voltage indicators have an antennae that picks up the electrical field that results from an AC voltage. So whether the field is picked up or not depends on the specific tuning of the indicator and the strength of the field which will be attenuated by the distance away from the cable and the thickness of any board. Kewstick UNO is tuned to work with closely bunched cables so is not tuned for the sensitivity that you are requesting. A better bet is the Kewstick Duo as this has two sensitivities, the first is more sensitive and may have a chance. To reduce the sensitivity of the DUO you have to press and hold the attenuation button as soon as you release the button the sensitivity goes back to being on max. We suggest that you try the Kewstick DUO and even if it cannot satisfy your initial request you will find it a very useful tool. Thank you
