Don’t buy these panels
Don’t buy these panels. I have had to return them 8 times for faults.
They have had splits, knots that have fallen out to leave holes, twisted frames, big gaps in the tongue and grove and general bad construction.
For a top of the range panel, the quality of the materials used and the workmanship is appalling.
The wood used is 3rd quality with lots of splits and knots everywhere. Some of these have fallen out to leave holes in the panel. Holes in a panel that is sold as sound deadening. Joke.
It has taken over 6 months and 8 returns and still don’t have acceptable panels.
Promised time and time again that they have been quality checked before sending. Either they are not checking them or there are all bad that they are sending the best of a bad lot, which are still rubbish.
Be warned. If you buy these you will pay a lot of money for a rubbish product.

Forest decibel fence panels
We live next to a busy 30mph road in our village which joins our garden. Having spent hours of research on noise reduction fencing these panels were the best compromise between performance and cost. I had 30m of fencing to fit and used the forest ribbed H posts and Jacksons timber gravel boards. They do make a difference of about 8-10DB reduction. Note; We fitted these at 2m high (planning permission req for any fencing over 1m high next to a road). We also had a double row of hedging between the road and our garden which made no difference to noise reduction. All in all a good product if you fit it correctly and minimise all air gaps in the fencing as you erect it. Looks contemporary too.

Quality Issues
Poor build quality. Damaged in stacking on delivery truck. Had to order replacements twice. Lots of shrinkage opening up tongue and grooves. Some of tongues damaged and can see light through. Many of timbers split and lots of knot holes. All compromising sound proofing. Wide variance in colour.

is the 45mm thicness the fence board or the surrounding frame
Asked by: fredfence
fredfence, good afternoon and I can confirm that the surrounding frame is 45mm thick. For information each board (slat) is 56mm wide (visible section) x 17mm thick.
