Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but not in plasterboard Used these of varying sizes in brick block & stone & they are excellent in those surfaces. I was going to use them to fit a tv wall bracket to a plasterboard wall but tried them in a test piece of board first & they don’t work in it. Tried all the sizes with screws & coach screws with drill & screwdriver etc & they tighten up then just spin in the hole & don’t fold up like they’re supposed too. Must admit really disappointed but got the Fisher Duotecs & they do work as they are meant too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Excellent plug. Grips well in the wall, and you have some good 'feedback' when putting the screw in, Reassuringly solid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't get the hype? I genuinely dont understand all the reviews singing these praises?? They are fundamentally flawed in that they require a large amount of turning force to deform the plug. This is fine except the tiny fins on the plug itself are so small that they shear the plasterboard (which i assume is what most people are looking at these for?). Once thy shear out the plasterboard you are stuck with a large hole and probably a half stuck wobbly plug (which isnt the easiest to remove if you cant shove back into the cavity). I have no doubt in concrete or brick these would be very strong but for plasterboard I would look elsewhere (cough gripits).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fisher plugs These are by far the best wall plugs about. Not only do they work fantastically , the information given on the box is super accurate advising what size drills and screws to use when doing the job. This is the 3rd size of Fisher plugs that I have used and they are all great. Thanks screwfix always a great price and always in stock.

Coach Screws

Could coach Screws that don't have deep tread on them be used with these plugs?

What is the best way to remove these from plasterboard wall?

Tricky to pull out, especially without causing more damage so I just push them through into the cavity.

What’s the best way to remove these plugs once set into a wall?

I want to remove some of these plugs to patch up a dot & dab wall before decorating. What’s the best removal method?
Asked by: RobbieF17

What type of screw would be suitable with this on a dot and dab wall?

Would the Easydrive COUNTERSUNK CONCRETE SCREWS 6 X 60MM be suitable for this wall plug? You don't sell any drywall screws with 6mm diameter.
