Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not bad at all Although this bit did not fit into my support, it’s very easy to get it started on the tile if you have it on full speed and just hold it at a slight angle to start you off then straighten it up (I did this after reading a review further down before I bought it and it did work just as he said). So don’t let this not fitting in the support put you off buying it. It cut through the 10mm ceramic floor tiles I was using absolutely effortlessly, 8 holes no water and still going strong for the next job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I was really struggling to cut a hole in a tile and had already burnt out or broken several other 'normal' tile drills. Even a full core drill did nothing more than remove the top surface of the tile. However, within 5 minutes of getting back from Screwfix with this bit I had the hole drilled and the fitting in place. This bit just eats through the tile. I just wouldn't mess about with anything else now and will be getting some other sizes to keep in the bag. Some reviewers have mentioned the lack of a guide bit, and this would be helpful in some circumstances, but it's pretty easy to simply start the edge of the drill and then tilt it until the whole bit is cutting. Admittedly, you need, therefore, to mark the circumference of the hole you want to drill but, in many cases, this is easier than marking the centre. The key is to have confidence and keep the drill on full speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend Quiet a pricey outlay for the couple of holes I needed to drill (in tough porcelain tiles) but must say this bit cut through the tiles really well when no other drill bit I had touched them. Used on a wet tile as recommended by other reviewers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant drill Bought this after trying some cheaper titan drills from Screwfix which were worse than useless (returned for refund). This drill cut through 10mm porcelain tiles with ease with no signs of wear. You can also enlarge the hole from the 44mm diameter by running the sides of the drill around the edges of the hole, I managed to achieve a neat 55mm diameter hole using this technique. Highly recommend this drill.
