Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent paint, recommended Worth the extra cost, this is great paint with a nice finish. I used to prime first but found that it really does self-prime on most surfaces with 2 or 3 coats tops for a really solid finish over any colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Paint I have been painting yellowing doors and skirting boards with this paint. I have been very pleased with this paint. Two coats have done the job. It is easy to apply. Brush marks are not a problem. It does not dry so fast you can't 're-work' a bit of shaped joinery. It doesn't drip off the brush. I have already bought 2 more tins as I have a lot of woodwork to paint. I started the job using a water-based satinwood by another company which was a nightmare of bad coverage and brush stroke marks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Accidental Purchase Did not notice i was buying the oil based one. No idea why anyone uses this stuff when the quick dry water based one is same price, easier to clean and even states on the tin does not yellow like this stuff... only pro to this is I found it smoother to apply with less runs forming.

Do I have to use primer if I want to paint a interior window sill scrapped off paint. Can I use Leyland trade acrylic primer. Or do you recommend oil based primer. Thanks

Asked by: SiriKalyan
You will need to prime any areas that are back to bare wood, and yes you should be able to use the Leyland primer underneath this product.

Can I use dulux satinwood to paint dark wooden internal windows frames? And should I sand down before applying the first coat?

Asked by: Ipaintwindows
You can use this paint on timber indoors. You'll need to give the timber a rub down and clean before priming with Dulux Trade Quick Dry Wood Primer & Undercoat.
