Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wall plugs Brought these to install vertical radiators on dot & dab walls with thermal blocks behind, the roads are 60kgs each and these plugs hold them up well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product but expensive I bought these Corefix wall mount plugs this weekend to hang a heavy led bathroom mirror/cabinet and a 2020 65 inch tv on two separate dot and dab walls in my house. Well it's been 24 hours now and both are still attached to the wall so I guess thats a positive.. I joke, they seem very robust and capable. I have no doubt everything will stay where they are for the foreseeable future. Only thing I'd say is they're pretty expensive for what they are, the profit margins must be strong this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Reliable Having tried 3 other types of fixing Corefix were the only type that resulted in a secure fixing on dot and dab walls. They are relatively expensive but to my mind they are wirth every penny as I've found them 100% reliable. The only issue I found was that the plug has a large flange that sits against the wall that has to betaken into account for flush fitting of objects to the wall. For example, to overcome this when fitting battens to a wall I countersink the wall side off battens to cover the flange.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Ikea kitchen I used these to install Ikea Metod kitchen units on my dot and dab walls. They're very easy to install and give a very strong and secure mount for the cupboards. The only downside is they're expensive for what they are but the fact they do their job so well makes them worth the price.

Okay to use on Thermalite block?

Would these be suitable for dot and dab on Thermalite?
Asked by: CR74

Do these work with insulated board? The plastered finish is about 70mm from the brickwork and I want to hang a very heavy radiator. Will these do the job?

What diameter are the screws

Hello I'd like to know the diameter of the screws so I can tell if they are suitable for my bracket. Thankyou

What size drill hole?

For a tv Mount-As per the instructions I’ve used a 10mm drill bit for the supplied large wall plugs and bolts. Wall plugs go in but just start spinning when I try and screw the bolts in. Would these be big enough for the holes I’ve already drilled?!
Asked by: JC822
You've drilled the holes too large if they are free spinning. You can try using masking tape wrapped around the plug near the end with the hole to allow it to grip the plasterboard, while you put the screw in, the screw itself should expand the plug into the blockwork. But be warned if the hole is much too big it might compromise the load carrying ability. If it feels loose at all I'd try a new hole with a smaller bit.
