Rated 3 out of 5 by from Might not fit some jobs On the up side they're well cast, the threads are well cut and the rubber internal compression disc is effective.. Unfortunately, I wanted to use them as temporary caps for the valves on radiators which date to the mid seventies, and they are just a fraction - but a vital fraction - too loose even with PTFE tape. A clamp made the job possible because of the useful internal rubber compression seal disc.

Can this be used to cap a gas pipe ?

Will this work on imperial 3/4 inch pipe?

OK for Radiator valve blanking off

Does this fit the radiator side of a radiator valve to all the radiator to be removed? If an old valve is closed, it may still leak a small amount and I want the rads removed for a few weeks without draining the whole system

I have successfully used these to seal the supply and return points on the valves that interface to the radiator, allowing radiator to be removed so I can decorate behind. They come with rubber seal which ought to have been adequate but I avoided the risk and used PTF just in case.
