Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recommended but with proviso Eventually got it connected using the WPS button and it does extend the wifi suitably. Annoyingly the website needed to set up the extender is not reachable/permanently unavailable (May'22). I can only presume that BG no longer provides this support. So be aware that setup is not straight forward and may be time consuming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent buy. Got to be honest, I wasn't expecting too much from this but thought it was worth a try. Installed on upstairs landing between router ( downstars hall) and dead spot (back bedroom). Easily connected to Wifi and what a difference! Very pleasantly surprised by the strength of signal and consequent speed of device. Definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality faceplate Good quality face plate it is a little tricky to set up and connect to your WiFi . Not had it that long so can't really comment on reliability . But so far so good .

connect to SKY router

Wired this up in the garage 7’ away from the lounge where the router is. Wont connect to the Wi-Fi socket after following instructions or with QR code. Won’t connect via the web link they supply or via an iPhone.
Asked by: SiBo07
Hi SiBo07, When using the QR Code or Browser method it is vitally important to be connected to the wi-fi hotspot of the socket, _not_ your router wi-fi, and to turn off mobile data. It will also help to reboot the extender socket and clear your browser cache, to ensure the socket isn't in low-power `sleep' mode and the browser isn't reloading a locally stored failure page instead of trying again. If you continue to have difficulties please feel free to contact us directly at:-

Is there a maximum number of devices this WiFi extender will serve, I appreciate that the greater the number of devices the slower the connection maybe.
Asked by: bossington1988
Hi bossington1988, As the extender is simply re-transmitting all incoming signals verbatim the practical connection limit will remain with the router or network hub to which the extender is linked.

Will this socket help with console connections? Will it be better then a tplink?

Asked by: Patrickcccc
Hi Patrickcccc, If you're looking to extend the distance which a useful strength 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal reaches to then this will help with that, if you're looking to increase the strength or data transfer speeds of an existing signal this is not the product for you. We cannot make direct comparisons with other manufacturers' products as we do not have technical or test data for their devices.

Can these sockets be used to daisy chain off each other?

I want to boost my customers WiFi all over the house. Can these sockets boost the signal to the next socket and that socket to the next?
Asked by: Fish82
Hi Fish82, No they have not been designed for multiple units in the same network, but then at roughly 15m range in all directions from the socket you would need a much larger than average sized home to need more than one anyway.
