Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish Would not work with two 5w leds, only flashed. Worked with one 5w led, That's bad for a 25w driver

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not fit for purpose I bought this to drive 5x Aurora LEDs. Bulb part AU-MR113/40, which are 3Watts each. That is a total of 15W. It will run two of these ok, but 3 or more and it goes into protection and starts flashing. So it is capable of 6W. I see the comments from Aurora tech about inrush current but that is garbage. The spec says it runs 25W of LED lamps. It should have the capacity to deal with inrush current. This time they can’t blame someone else’s bulbs. Nowhere on the Aurora LED package is the inrush current specified. Nowhere in the driver instructions is inrush current mentioned. I have specifically bought Aurora bulbs, lumieres and driver to make sure they are compatible. Very disappointing that they aten’t. Won’t be spending extra on their products again.

I want to replace my halogen transformers for LED transformer to run MR11 FED spots. IS this a suitable transformer and do it just connect it exactly like the old transformer - directly on to power cable?

Asked by: ledmeister
Hi There, Depends on the LED load you are trying to run, You need to leave at least 5w for inrush current purposes so no more than 20w on a 25w driver. They can be wired in the same manner as a transformer. Thanks Aurora

Will not run 3 bulbs as stated

I have wired the Driver with 3 bulbs in parallel off one output and then one bulb from each output. It will only run one bulb. When I start one and add each of the other two without switching off/on it willl run all three. What am I missing?
Asked by: RichieGWR
I am using 3 number 4.5W GU5.3 bulbs (ref 782FH) which you state against that item these will be OK with the 25W driver.
