Rated 2 out of 5 by from Aurora 25W driver Just fitted one of thre 25W drivers and 3 Lap MR16 LED lamps, Turned on and lights started flashing, rang Aurora who said they only test with one lamp. Advisor said it was the inrush current but I had allowed 40% capacity to allow for this. Now got to go and buy another unit as this one will only run 2 lamps. so beware

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No buzz, no flicker! With my original transformer, after upgrading 5 GU4 halogen lamps to LED, they developed a slight flicker and buzz at random times. Bought and fitted this and no more problems. Very slight delay in lamps coming on (maybe 0.1 sec) but the LEDs are now working as they should.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible - max output 5 watt I got this to go with 7 LAP 2,5 Watt lamps. The lamps said "check transformer compatibility" - so I did that and was told that as the total wattage I was using was 17.5 watts and this was 25 watts, should be no problem. Rubbish - it only powers 5 watts before going into overload mode - flashing. Don't touch if you want more than 5 watts output.

i have 2 x light fittings that use 5 x g4 halogens

I have replaced the g4 halogen bulbs with g4 led bulbs, if i change all 5 bulbs they just flash constantly, would this sort the issue
Asked by: Printhound
hello, it sounds like a load issue, all LED's have a n inrush current you need to bear in mind, If you take some 1 or 2 lamps pff the driver and only power 3 does this stop the flashing? If so this shows you will need a bigger wattage driver.

How many LEDs will it run

We have 6 x MR16 lights in our kitchen. Will this transformer run 6 x 5W LED versions.
Asked by: Aughey
Hello, Thank you for your message, 6 x 5w= 30w the driver you mention is only 25w. You also need to bear in mind with LED they all have an inrush current you need to consider. For example with regards to our EN-MR165 5w MR16 lamps we only test 1 per lamp using our AU-LED1012CV therefore to run i would suggest looking at the EN-LED7512 or bigger. I hope this helps.

I fitted 4 5W LED lamps (2730V) in parallel to a 25W LED driver (4338T) and the lights all flash continuously about once a second. However if I leave the power on remove and replace each bulb in turn the lights stay on continuously. What is the problem?

Asked by: sadre
Hi There, Inrush current. You either need a bigger driver or split the load across two. The initial start up is pulling more load causing the driver to be overloaded. Thanks Aurora

Running hot

I running 2 x 50cm LED strips and 1 X 1mtr strip. After a few hours, the driver was very hot to the touch. I was so concerned that i switched it off at the spur. Can you confirm if these drivers run at that temperature? Thanks
Asked by: Dean031
Hi There, There will be a Tc point on the driver advising the max temp. LED’s can reach upto 70 degrees. This is normal. Thanks Aurora
