One of the most common applications for 3 core and earth cable is to enable the installation of two-way switching, whereby two separate switches within a building operate the same light fitting. This is possible due to the additional conductor. Three core & earth cable is typically flat for a more straightforward installation into behind plaster and is offered in a range of lengths to suit.
