Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped TRV replacement! Well finished product and well worth the money. Had to change an old massive TRV on a towel rail. The new TRV body was much smaller, which meant the copper supply pipes were about an inch too short. Rather than draining down the whole system and soldering in some fiddly small extensions, these did the job perfectly to extend from rad to the TRV.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not that good The product is pretty good however the thread is a bit short therefore the tail winds into the rad. I needed quite a lot of ptfe tape and fernox to get a seal. If the thread was longer with a decent collar it would get 5 stars. Apart from that the telescopic aspect works well to bridge the gap between the valves when changing an imperial rad to a metric one.

What jointing compound would you recommend for installing these?

Asked by: Dogtanian
Hi Dogtanian Thank you for your question. We do not normally recommend the sealing method as there is a lot good products and they all work well. Maybe look at part number; 21548, 7619J or 53863 Hope this helps

I bought this item and installed it on a new radiator. Since the 1/2” thread part doesn’t have an end stop or head, then I’ve just used PTFE tape to secure it. I’ve noticed there’s a few drops coming from that point and I’m wondering how I can stop them

Asked by: RobSay
Hi RobSay Thank you for your question. If you still have small leak in the radiator, it would be best to remove the fitting add more PTFE or jointing compound to the thread and remake the connection. The average turns on the 1/2" thread (rads), with standard PTFE tape is between; 12 - 20 turns. Hope this helps

Do these have to be cut down to your required size ?

Asked by: Bobbyg900
Hi Bobby Hope you are staying safe. You so not have to cut them down as are telescopic. If you want one to cut down to size please look at the following part numbers; 2456R or 599HF (they are rigid) Hope this helps

I've installed this but it's leaking from the rad. The stud end is screwed in tight but still leaking. Do I need to use PTFE tape?

Asked by: JontyQ
