Rated 4 out of 5 by from Work well.. Eventually Fitted to blum metal drawer slides. They work well, feel robust, and the enclosed fitting instructions are good, but they have a very low fitting tolerance. You really do have to get things to the mm to get them to work (and indeed *stay* working). One of the measurements on the instructions is something stupid like 14.2mm. Yes that's 0.2 of a mm!! Fine in theory, but doing it on your knees leaning into a dark cupboard and marking/drilling on a vertical surface isn't so easy! I would still buy again though - just don't expect it to be a 5 min job (as I did).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well This is my first experience of soft close drawers following the upgrade of all my kitchen cabinets to soft close. There is some small resistance when you pull the drawer open, which is how the mechanism works and gets in position ready for when you close the drawer. Closing works smoothly. You have to follow the instructions carefully - it refers to measurements in fractions of mm (although I wasn't that accurate) But apart from that it was easy to fit and instructions were helpful. I have metal sided doors with wood elsewhere. There is another fitting for wood only drawers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product Retro fitted to Blum drawers with metal sides. Work really well if you follow the enclosed instructions carefully. A thick drawer base is needed to take screws. They are well made and much stronger than some cheap ones I used before which broke after a short time. One needed per drawer. Should also work with mdf drawers. Needs 15 - 16mm gap between drawer side and inside of cabinet. Will fit drawer runners from 300mm - 550mm.

How critical is the clearance between the drawer and cabinet sides?

I notice the instructions say the clearance needs to be between 15-16mm. I've measured my drawers and the clearance is about 14.5mm.
Asked by: james786
Hello, We can only advise the information stated by the manufacturer. If the instructions indicate that a 15-16 mm clearance is needed then ideally this should be adhered to. If it is installed not in accordance with the instructions then we cannot guarantee it will fit/will work correctly. Thank you for using Q&A. [DG]
