Rated 4 out of 5 by from Self sharpening chain I have worked in forestry and used chainsaws large and small for over 40 years. This is a well made powerful saw for an electric. I have cut through large hardwood logs with ease. The only problem I have with it is the chain snatches at the end of a cut if the wood pinches slightly. Will probably switch to a conventional chain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Electric Chainsaw Fantastic price of kit for a good price. Made easy work of a tree stump and cutting logs. Easy set up, just had to follow the instructions on priming the oil, but very easy too do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good piece of kit I bought this on a whim (because the price was ridiculously low) after dealing with a troublesome shrub. I completely got rid of the offending shrub in less than an hour and what was a 10ft tall and 6ft wide shrub with thick woody branches and leaves ended up as two-thirds of the volume of the collection box. No troubles feeding but need to be careful of too much greenery as it hangs around a bit in the feeder. Up to 40mm thick branches - no problem. I was amazed by how quiet it is and mesmerised by the chunk chunk chunk noise as it feeds. Should have bought this yeas ago as it would have made disposal of my garden offcuts so much easier than trips to the dump!!!

Chain saw lead supplied is only 6 m. So I will need to use an extension lead of 50. M will this be ok. As the garden we have is. Large and I need. It to reach all areas.

Asked by: Advice
Hi, you'll need to use a heavy duty extension lead due to the length. Please ensure that it is fully unwound before use. Kind regards, Oregon

Extension Lead

I need an extension lead to reach my log pile and I have made up a 16/17M lead made with 2.5mm cable. Will this be okay? Will it damage the saw? Should I return the saw as it is yet unused?
Asked by: Arya2
Hi, yes this should be fine, there is further info on using extension leads in the product manual. Please ensure that the lead is fully unwound before use to prevent overheating. Kind regards, Oregon.

Out of shape bar

I think I have managed to bend the bar slightly as I can longer make straight cuts. Was working brilliantly before. Can I get hold of them?
Asked by: Dave12103

Do I have to use the Powersharp chain?

I understand that the Powersharp chain has a more aggressive action than a normal chain. Can I use a normal chain on this chainsaw if I find I don't like the Powersharp chain?
Asked by: Wiredcharlie
Yep, just use a – 3/8” [91] 45cm [18”] 1.3MM [.050] 62 drivelinks chain but don't use the powersharp feature as it will not sharpen.

Extension leads

with only a 6M cable I will need to use an extension lead, what requirements will it need to meet? Rated at 15amp will a 13amp extension lead be underrated? Can excessive lead length cause a blown motor?
Asked by: Cadmanuk
Hi, we don't recommend an extension cable is used however if it's absolutely necessary, the shorter and heavier gauge cable (within reason), the better. A narrow cable over a long run will allow voltage drop in excess of what the motor can cope with and will cause overheating and starting failures in the motor resulting in damage so use as short a length as possible.
