Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just about does the job Quite a frustrating bench. Not too bad to assemble. Why the adjustment handles tighten counter-clockwise is a mystery. The blue stoppers are hard to adjust if there's dust or chippings in the grooves. The tilt adjustment is easy to use if you have three hands. Quite heavy to transport. The metal surface is good, much better than the MDF ones you can get. The foot release to adjust is quite good. Overall, for the price it's acceptable but I'm looking to replace it at some point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very disappointing the design is good, being a smaller copy of the Dewalt and it is relatively easy to put together however cheap construction materials mean it's not fit for purpose. the thin steel legs buckle under the bolts even with careful assembly. the plastic pegs don't grip and the force needed to hold anything is enough to distort them. the height adjustment screw stops slip under just a few kgs. the foot release bar was not straight and the brakes were poor. you could bend the braces in one hand (and one of mine had been hand painted). the aluminium top appears and feels nice but what point? Screwfix staff took it back without comment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems solid and well made I have not yet used the workbench, but it was quite ease to assemble, and seems very solid and easy to adjust height and angle. It certainly compares well with my previous folding workbench, in extra functionality and lighter weight. I will review again when I have used it for some upcoming projects.

Where Do The PVC Bushes Go?

The instructions are so small an ant would struggle to read them. The photo on the box is a better guide, but the location of the two PVC bushes is a total mystery, and there doesn't seem to be any logical place for them...
Asked by: SailorJerry
Look at the photo on the box and the two PVC bushes are located behind the lowest blue knob. Hope this helps others too.

just put together the Macallister metal work benchWS-MWB2. It doesnt seem to want to fold down

It folds so far and then sticks . Is this because is new and stiff as I don't want to force it.
Asked by: geroff
I encountered this too. To fold the table, locate the two blue knobs which are nearest to the top of the table and are used to tighten the triangular plate with a slot in. Make sure that these knobs have been loosened off. Now press both knobs and at the same time close the legs together; note the knobs are on springs which depress when pushed in. It takes a little doing but it definitely works.
