Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4 way boost with F connectors Needed a replacement signal booster with F connectors to replace my existing one which had developed a fault after about 17 years. This fitted the job perfectly and all 4 outputs now running back up at 100% signal & quality after a very simple refit. Obviously can’t comment on reliability (although survey is forcing me to answer) as it’s only been in use for 2 days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job perfectly BUT.... I don’t usually use this brand but decided to give it a go after reading all the positive reviews. As simple as fitting F connectors to my coaxial cable, plugged in the TV and all worked perfectly. However, for a Item that is designed to be mounted on a wall or hidden away, the blinding blue LED power light is like a Blackpool illumination! Strange design choice and Labgear should include free electricians tape in the box to cover it as I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t find it annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My opinion I needed a TV signal in another room for a new TV, so I looked around and read the reviews and this seemed to tick all the boxes (By getting the 4 way one, I have room for expansion later) I also note, it uses "F connectors" so I ordered a pack of those too, as they DO NOT come with the unit. After connecting all the cables (3, one in two out) and securing the unit to the wall I plugged it in to a socket, and retuned both TVs. Not only does it give a good picture, it improved the signal (As it is supposed to.) So we went from 15 channels on the TV to well over 100 channels. The new TV also has over 100 channels. (That is TV and radio channels) The unit also has a bright blue LED which can easily be covered with black insulation tape. If you want to add another TV or you just have a "few channels" I recommend this unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Improved my TV signals but... This unit improved my BBC (SD) reception after the channels were move in a recent re-tune to another frequency. However the HD channels suffered with intermittent picture and sound breakup about 1/minute. Took it back and purchased this one (LABGEAR LDL204LR 4-WAY DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIER (1213X)) with a 4G filter and picture breakup is no longer a problem. I recommend paying slightly more and get 1213X. Note the 2407X is no longer on the Labgear web site...

What's the difference between this and lda204lr please?

Asked by: Noodlepuff
The LDL Series has the ability to use the older legacy Sky Plus and HD facility of using an infra red sensor in a remote room to control a sky box via the coaxial cable see https://labgear.co.uk/product-categories/signal-amplifiers/tv-radio-amps-with-ir-bypass/4-output-mains-powered-digilink-amplifier/ so if you are in for instance a remote room like a Bedroom you can change channels and operate the Sky box in the living room using an infra-red sensor but the unit doesn’t have the facility of powering a pre-amplifier like a Masthead amplifier. The LDA series see https://labgear.co.uk/product-categories/signal-amplifiers/tv-radio-boosters-distribution-amps/2-input-4-output-distribution-amplifier/ can power a masthead amplifier but not allow Infra red eyes to be used, if you don’t need the IR facility I would suggest this amplifier be used.

Will this amplify a dab radio signal?

Asked by: hardev
The amplifier has a dedicated VHF/DAB input so it should be possible to increase the signal level from a DAB aerial. Thanks

Using DiSEqC

When the satellite main feed goes into the UHF connection and one of the outputs is to an FTA receiver, will the amplifier allow the receiver's DiSEqC control to still move the dish to and return from other satellites?
Asked by: Bradfordian
The Amplifier can only be used with terrestrial Freeview Aerials not from a Dish, so DiSEqC control would only be available if taking the feed from the Dish directly to the Satellite receiver.

Would this work with virgin media?

Asked by: Damian743
Hi, Virgin use lower frequencies that are not compatible with the amplifier. Thanks
