Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Generally, I prefer the pimiento or garlic stuffed variety but a pack of 20 compression olives for less than £4! What more can be said - good value & worked exactly as expected. No leaks - perfect!

Can these be used for an old -possibly 3/4 inch pipe?

Need to crossover hot and cold bath feeds for a thermostatic bath/shower. Original pipework [1968] has hot on right and cold on left!
Asked by: Ancientbrit
Hello, 3/4" is roughly 19mm, so using a 22mm olive may result in a less tight/secure fit (which can cause fitins to be loose and leak). Might be worth giving the pipes a measure to confirm if they are 3/4" If they are then opt for a specific 3/4" olive. Thanks for using Q&A

Brass or copper

I’m sorry if I’ve missed this somewhere, and although the picture looks like brass, are these brass or copper? The reason I ask is because when using compression with plastic pipes (especially 28mm) a brass olive is a must. Thanks.
Asked by: BorisGee
BorisGee - according to the JG Speedfit literature you must use copper olives with plastic pipes, NOT brass!
