Rated 5 out of 5 by from Barracuda up and down lights I have fitted loads of up and down lights but these are by far the best. Good quality and well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality product Bought this light based on the reported problem cheaper models have with rain water getting in. Pleased with the quality of this wall light. Every effort has been made to keep water out. Easy to fit and pleased with the light given out

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Is it really IP65? This light is certainly heavier than the LAP Bronx equivalent. I had 3 LAP lights. One in the porch, one under the soffit and one on an unprotected outside wall. After 3 years the one in the unprotected position let in water because the seals had failed. I have replaced it with this IP65 rated light. My first impression is that the seals are very similar to the LAP light and the seal between the light and the backing plate is not brilliant and it is compromised by the grub screws that hold the light in place so I hope the IP65 rating is justified. The grub screws that hold the light to the backing plate are fiddly to insert and are close to the wall so if you have a rough wall (mine is stone) they are difficult to tighten. If the light outlasts the LAP one I will update this review to a thoroughly glowing one. Thank you to the reviewer who dropped his grub screw. I was forewarned and put a bowl under the fitting to catch dropped screws.

Asked by: Kifford

I have been sold 3.5w LED's which are 35w equivalent. Could I use a higher wattage LED for instance 4.6w which is 50w equivalent as they are actually only using 4.6w

Asked by: ChrisRich
Hello ChrisRich, Yes you could use the higher wattage LED's. As long as the wattage doesn't exceed 35w then it would be OK to use. Thank you for using Q&A SW

Is it compatible with Philips Hue lamps ?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello. As long as you have the necessary accessories to operate the Hue bulbs this fitting will take a GU10 bulb. Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A. MH

Can this light be used with a PIR sensor

I love the look of the light and understand that it doesn’t have a PIR sensor, I would like to use it as a security light. Can it be fitted via a separate PIR sensor?
Asked by: Chalm635
Hello. There is no mention of fitting a PIR in the instructions. Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A. MH
