(4 products)Mortar is a mix of sand and cements and is most often used to build block or brick walls. Made to fill in and seal the irregular gaps between stone, brick or blocks, the bonding mixture becomes hard once cured which results in a rigid structure. The proportionate mix of cement with sand allows the mortar to flow slightly but not collapse under the weight of the masonry units. When dried, it will harden into a stonelike mass and will distribute the load of the structure evenly over the bonding surfaces and will provide a weather-tight joint.
